Designer men's jeans

In these tough economic times, consumers are drinking fewer lattes, dining out less frequently and vacationing close to home.
But when it comes to looking good in a pair of jeans, they manage to find a way to spend.
Denim sales are rising, in particular designer jeans at $150 or more, even as overall apparel sales tumble. Skinny, boot-cut, cropped, flared, high-waisted, low-rise, dark wash, faded, tailored, distressed--Americans have become so infatuated with denim that not even the threat of recession can dampen their enthusiasm.
It's not surprising that blue jeans are thriving during the downturn. Like the search for the fountain of youth, the quest for the perfect pair of jeans carries the hope of feeling younger, thinner, hipper and more fabulous. That fantasy keeps consumers buying.
